The First Week

So we are going to stick around. Just a little less often and with a new twist.

See, this year will have Marie traveling a lot. And as for Sarah, well, she is just turning her life upside down and tying the knot.

So here’s the deal – – this year we are going to embark on a fifty-two week project. Each week (Wednesday morning) we will give each other a topic/theme/word/inspiration/whatev and then each of us will have one week to capture that said goal using only our camera (no iPhones this time for a bit of a challenge). The picture has to be posted by midnight on Tuesday night each week.

And that is why we are calling it The Cinderella Project.

So there it is. Our goal is that this new project will be a little less work but still as much fun. And still a project for us to work together on. Who knows, maybe 2014 will be the year we do a daily picture again.

But for now? 2013. Fifty-two weeks. The Cinderella Project.

Thanks for coming along!

Week One: A New Year

“Yup, I am in the middle of the road. I really wanted a picture of these lights. These lights have cheered me up and reminded me that I can celebrate Christmas anywhere. And these lights also remind me that 2013 is going to be awesome. I don’t really know what 2013 is going to hold. I know we will be spending quite a bit of time in the USofA. I know we will be continuing to learn and speak Romanian. I know that our ministry opportunities will be growing and developing even more. But besides that? All I know is that 2013 is going to be fun. And exciting. And busy. And crazy. And cool.”

Week Two: Happiness. Or just Happy.

Starting with week three, we are going to give each other the next theme at the end of the current post. It should get creative and fun because Marie won’t know what Sarah’s theme for her is and Sarah won’t know what Marie’s theme for her is either.

Don’t worry if it doesn’t make sense.

November Second

Happy Second Day of a Thankful Month!

“I am thankful to call this country my home, even on days when it doesn’t quite feel like my home yet. I am surrounded by awesome friends, a handsome+loving+supportive husband and two amazing+stunning little girls. Tonight we walked down Bulevardul Ștefan cel Mare and I was captivated by the beauty of the night, the mist and the city.”

“Today was a bummer, still sick/recovering, had to cancel plans with my daddy, but thankful I have the best fiancé in the world who brought me things throughout the day. Since I was feeling better tonight, I made him waffles in this little vintage waffle maker!”

February Twenty-First

“Someday we will be a crazy big kids ministry and fondly remember when we had seven kids in a mini conference room coloring with a bucket of broken crayons.”

“Denial: I’ve had Addy’s room set up since she moved out in August. Reality: Giving her crib away tonight. Truth: You can’t always see the big picture, just let it be.”
