December Twentieth

“Final stack for the year.”

“We did it. We found a REAL tree and got it home, before DohDoh gets here! I love the different reactions. Oldest thinks it’s amazing and can’t stop touching it even though it is prickly. She most likely learned these behaviors from her mother. Youngest is terrible upset about the strange, huge, green THING disrupting her path from kitchen to bedroom. She most likely learned this type of reaction from her father.”

November Twentieth

“I did – – I took pictures of my seventeen month old while she was throwing a tantrum. But if it makes it any better, I am thankful for the work the Lord has done in me since I became a parent. I am wiser, more diligent, I pray more, I could go on. But for now I need to get feisty tantrum thrower back to sleep because it’s wayyyyyy past her bedtime and she wasn’t supposed to wake up at this hour!”

“I’ve been catching some pretty awesome sunrises lately…”

November Seventh

“And men say women are weird.”

“I am so thankful to be married to this handsome fella – – what an amazing dada and husband he is! He plays with his girls, changes diapers and mops the floors – – does it get any better than that?! Oh, he just may bring me home surprises too. I think I could live almost anywhere and be happy with him by my side.”

October Thirty-First

Happy Halloween-Harvest-Reformation Day-However The Heck You Roll-Day

Personally we think dressing kids up in costume should be a more regular occurrence.

Either way, happy last day of October!

AND happy 53 days until Sarah and Marie are reunited.

{Because we know all five of our readers are counting down with us.}

Can you believe 270 days have already passed since we last saw each other?

Meet the glow-in-the-dark skeleton that wanted to be a princess and the pirate princess that planned her entire costume on her own. We went to the mall that advertised ‘Halloween activities’ but since no one really knew what that was, our girls were quite the hit!”

P.S. Someone please enlighten me as to how I have a 16 month old that was offended when her sister donned a princess dress and she did not? Really kid, you are borderline too opinionated here!

“It’s called the Tetra Wall…but it’s really just my over-glorified storage space! No seriously, it is!”

October Twenty-Ninth

“My job is a blessing, they’re letting me work 10 hour days and have 3 day weekends! Early mornings, late nights, wedding planning Fridays!”

“In the states, I took my kids to every single community/library/church/whatever holiday event. This year, I am so thankful that we have a visit from Sarah to look forward to. Until then, we are going to do our best to celebrate the holidays in a new country and culture. Addy and I talked about harvest and Thanksgiving today and then she colored/cut/pasted these collages completely on her own.”

September Twenty-Sixth

“One of the things I love most about my job is that it is different everyday. Today, I was a handyman/plumber. Yep! That soda top had been wedged in our “broken” garbage disposal for a while, and I spied it today and decided it needed to come out.”

At least the landfills are filling up…?”

August Thirty-First

“I love having two daughters. Already the fun is beginning. Here Mercy is asking Addy for her purse for the seventeen-millionth time!”

“Welcome the two newest members of the office, Ligne Roset. They’re a weird shape and an odd color, but if you stare at them long enough they become weirdly attractive!”
